Gouty arthritis is a painful condition that affects the joints, particularly of the big toe, due to the body losing its ability to metabolize uric acid. Find out more about it here.

Gout, also known as metabolic arthritis or urarthritis, is a condition wherein the body loses its ability to handle uric acid. It occurs because either the body produces excessive amounts of uric acid or, as is more common, they lose the ability to eliminate it, which results in it building up in the body. Uric acid is the by-product of the metabolism of purine rich foods, particularly proteins. When uric acid builds up in the body it results in chronic and acute gouty arthritis, uric acid deposits in various joints and subcutaneous tissues, known as tophi, and kidney stones.

Gouty arthritis is diagnosed when a joint, usually the big toe, suddenly becomes swollen, painful, red and hot. The diagnosis is confirmed by finding monosodium urate, or uric acid crystals in the affected joint. These crystals keep accumulating in the joint for years and are responsible for triggering off the characteristic inflammatory and painful bouts of gouty arthritis.

Whom does Gouty Arthritis Affect?

Men are far more susceptible to gouty arthritis than women. The few numbers of women who do have gouty arthritis display symptoms only after menopause, hence, it thought that there is a hormonal factor involved in the condition. Gouty arthritis appears to be an inherited disease, however, it hardly ever manifests itself at birth, and neither does it occur for several years after that, instead, it usually occurs much later in life. Children almost never get gouty arthritis, with it usually occurring between the ages of 40-60.

Gouty arthritis is categorized into two types: 1) Primary, and 2) Secondary.

Primary Gouty Arthritis basically refers to the disorder occurring due to genetic reasons. While Secondary Gouty Arthritis occurs due to some other disease or because of a consequence of taking certain drugs.

While a condition known as hyperuricemia, wherein there is a high level of uric acid in the blood, may be indicative of higher chances of gouty arthritis occurring, however, it is not yet clear what the relationship is between gouty arthritis and hyperuricemia. For instance, many patients may have hyperuricemia and yet not get gouty arthritis, while some patients who experience several bouts of gouty arthritis have low or normal levels of uric acid.

What are the Symptoms of Gouty Arthritis

The most common area gouty arthritis occurs in is the base of the big toe, but it can affect other joints too such as the fingers, wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles. An acute attack of gouty arthritis is characterized by symptoms like sudden occurrence of pain in the joint along with the affected area becoming reddish, swollen, warm, and tender to the touch. In fact, the tenderness can be so acute that even the touch of a bed sheet touching the area can be intolerable. Along with the gout attack, fever, chills, an increase in the heart rate, and a general feeling of malaise may also develop. These attacks of gouty arthritis generally get resolved within a few hours or sometimes days, without or with medication. Rarely, an attack of gouty arthritis may last for a few weeks. Most people affected by gout usually experience attacks of gouty arthritis repeatedly over a number of years.

How can Gouty Arthritis Attacks be Prevented?

Making modifications to the diet is one of the best ways to prevent the recurrence of gouty arthritis. High purine foods can increase the levels of uric acid, so should be avoided, such as organ meats, which include sweetbreads, brains, kidneys, and liver; meats like lamb, pork, beef, and bacon; game meats; also large amounts of any other types of meat; seafood such as scallops, mackerel, herring, sardines, and anchovies; legumes, like dried peas and dried beans.

Alcohol inhibits the kidneys from releasing uric acid into urine, resulting in a build up of uric acid in the body. Beer seems to be the worst amongst alcoholic beverages, since it is high in purines.

There are higher chances of getting gouty arthritis attacks with being overweight. Hence, incorporating a weight reduction diet could help you to shed weight. However, care must be taken not to go on a low-calorie crash diet, because this increases the production of uric acid in the body, thus triggering off an attack of gouty arthritis.

Certain drugs that are prescribed for other conditions may affect the kidneys’ ability to eliminate uric acid, such as diuretics and nicotinic acid. It has also been found that the regular intake of low-dose aspirin increases the levels of uric acid. Since this is usually prescribed as a preventive against heart attack or stroke, you may have to continue using it.

If a drug has been prescribed for your gout, which lowers the levels of uric acid, such as allopurinol or probenecid, you need to continue taking it. But if you haven’t been taking any of these drugs before an attack, then once you do get a gouty arthritis attack, it is advisable not to take the medications, because it has been found that they can actually exacerbate the condition.

Gout is a type of arthritis that is characterized by extreme pain, redness and swelling of joints such as big toe, ankle, heels, feet, and in some cases, knees. There is a specific diet for gout that helps manage the symptoms.

Mr. Lawrence was suffering from swelling, stiffness and extreme pain in the joints of his big toe. He was finding it difficult to walk and move about. His physician diagnosed gout and suggested certain changes in diet. And to his surprise, he is now feeling much better. What is the gout diet that helped Mr. Lawrence to get relief from painful gout?

Gout is a type of arthritis that is caused by increased levels of uric acid in blood. It is also called as metabolic arthritis or urarthritis. It mainly affects big toe and joints of feet and ankle. However, it can also involve other joints such as fingers, elbows, knees and heels. Gout is mainly caused by excess production of uric acid in the body, which is not properly eliminated from the body. Uric acid results from the breakdown of purines. Uric acid build-up in the blood can lead to various health problems such as gouty arthritis, kidney stones and kidney failure. Some other factors such as genetic factors, obesity, excessive dehydration, excessive intake of alcoholic drinks and intake of foods that contain high levels of purines are also responsible for developing gout.

Gout is the most painful type of arthritis that causes acute pain, swelling, redness and stiffness of joints. Joint pain is the most significant sign of gout. If left untreated, it can cause damage to joints, leading to permanent disabilities. Hence, it is very essential to prevent acute gout attacks. Some of the preventive measures for gout include medications to lower the uric acid levels, maintaining a healthy body weight, reduced alcohol intake, adequate fluid intake and some dietary changes. Dietary changes play a significant role, while dealing with gout. You should avoid certain foods that are high in purines. You need to follow a specific diet for gout that will help to give relief from the symptoms of gout. Let’s know in detail about the foods to avoid and the ideal gout diet.

Foods to Avoid in Gout

The treatment for gout includes certain dietary restrictions. Since uric acid is a breakdown product of purines, gout patients are advised to avoid or limit the foods that are rich in purines. Purine-rich foods and high protein diet can increase the risk of gout. Therefore, high protein and purine-rich foods such as organ meats (brain, liver, kidney and sweetbreads), meat extracts, chicken, pork, lobster, shrimps, wheat, yeast, vinegar, lima beans, black beans, soy beans, scallops, mackerel and herring should be avoided by gout patients.

Certain vegetables including cauliflower, asparagus and mushrooms are very rich in purines and hence, they should be avoided in gout. Gout patients should also avoid some acid-forming foods such as alcoholic drinks, processed syrups, packaged fruit juices, sauces, commercial pickles and artificial sweeteners. Caffeine in coffee enhances the breakdown of proteins and aggravates gout. Hence, coffee should be avoided in gout. Now let’s see what is the recommended diet for gout.

Diet for Gout

Gout patients should have the foods that contain medium and low amounts of purines. The diet for gout patients should be rich in complex carbohydrates such as pasta, breads and rice as well as low-fat dairy products. It should also include abundant amounts of essential fatty acids such as nuts, flaxseed, salmon and tuna. Foods that contain medium amounts of purines can be eaten in moderation. They include shellfish, fresh and saltwater fish, eel, meat soups, poultry, legumes, spinach, bran, oatmeal, whole-grain breads, wheat germ and cereals.

The low purine foods such as breads and cereals (white flour, low-fiber or refined grain types), peanut, nuts and butter are most recommended in gout. The most recommended diet for gout includes vegetables that are low in purines such as cabbage, parsley and kale along with green leafy vegetables, low-fat cheese, fresh fruit juices, fresh cherries, blueberries and strawberries, celery, tea, sugar, gelatin and carbonated beverages, foods high in bromelain such as pineapple, and the foods rich in vitamin C including mandarin, red cabbage, oranges and red bell peppers.

Gout patients should drink 2-3 liters of fluid everyday in order to avoid dehydration. Adequate intake of fluids helps dilute the urinary uric acid. They should follow low-fat diet, which is also helpful in reducing the weight. Maintaining a healthy body weight is very important for gout patients, because excess weight causes more stress on the joints and increases the risk of gout.

Follow a well-balanced diet for gout and protect your joints. These healthy eating habits are also good for the sake of overall health. After all, healthy diet is a key to healthy living.

Gout Diet - Foods That Cause Gout
Gout formation takes place when uric acid develops in the joints. This condition is nothing but elevated uric acid level of blood.

Your diet is causing you pain
Gout sufferers tend to only think about the disease when they have an attack of pain. They should be thinking about it at every meal, the old saying you are what you eat really is true in relation to your diet and your gout pain.

Water Use In Gout Treatment - It Dissolves More Uric Acid

Drinking lots of water every day is an important part of a natural remedy for gout. This article explains why and contains a useful tip for gout sufferers - how to easily record that they drank their daily water target. There’s no need to score every glass in a notepad or in any kind of computer.

Just about anyone who suffers from gout knows that they should be drinking a lot of water every day. I will come on to why in a moment but first, for any gout sufferer who does not know the basics, here they are.

A natural gout remedy, as with all gout treatments, requires the reduction of uric acid levels. The normal clinical target is a serum (blood) level of 6 mg/dL for men, less for women. Reducing uric acid to these levels often dissolves the MSU crystals which are mainly formed from uric acid. (The immune system’s reaction to these crystals is the immediate cause of pain and inflammation). Drugs such as Allopurinol (generic name) are xanthine oxidase inhibitors — Allopurinol inhibits the enzyme which is needed for a major part of the process of converting purines into uric acid in the liver, and so less uric acid is produced. Drugs such as Probenecid (generic name) and Sulfinpyrazone (generic name) aid its excretion.

Therefore, the ”trick” in curing gout is to remove uric acid. However, there are other natural ways of assisting the removal of uric acid, and just about the most popular, to judge from views of online polls I have seen, is drinking water. How does water work? Simply because a hydrated body will dilute uric acid and diluted uric acid is more likely to be excreted. This is the first reason why water use in gout treatment is so important.

Will any water do? Yes, but some kinds are better than others are. Hard water is better than soft water because it contains more minerals. So too does mineral water. Minerals help maintain the body pH at 7.0 or greater. What is pH? This is a measurement of the acid/alkaline balance of the body. A pH of 7.0 or higher means a more alkaline body; below 7.0 and its more acidic.

Drinking water generally has a pH of 7.0 so it helps to raise the body pH to 7.0, or more when used in conjunction with other alkalizing agents. Occasionally you will see bottled water labels state this 7.0 value, just about the only product in the supermarket that states its pH value. Foods do have a pH value which means that some foods make the body more alkaline and some more acidic.

Why is a higher pH desirable for gout sufferers? Because at a higher pH (i.e. the body is more alkaline) more uric acid is likely to be excreted too. This is the second reason why gout sufferers need to drink lots of water.

There are other ways of raising pH (a diet containing lots of alkaline effect foods and less acid effect foods, alkaline water, baking soda (bicarbonate of soda), but water is just about the cheapest.

 How much water a day?

The quoted amount varies from 8 to 12 of 8 fl.ozs glasses a day. But perhaps the true amount for you is the amount of water you need to raise the body pH above 7.0. How can you know your pH level? pH test strips can be purchased online and delivered by mail. Type ” pH test strips" or "pH test stix" into a search box. Make sure you follow precisely the manufacturers’ instructions in the accompanying leaflet.

How can you be certain that you have met your daily water target?

Counting your score of water drunk every day is boring and prone to memory lapses. So use this tip. Every evening, or early in the morning, fill a jug with 8 x 8 fl.ozs of water (64 fl.ozs). Alternatively, the amount you have decided on, such as two jugs each of 4 x 8 fl.ozs of water and 4 x 8 fl.ozs of juice; or one jug of 10 x 8 fl.ozs of water and so forth. Use this source to make your other water based drinks that count as water intake.

Put the jug the refridgerator. Use only this jug for your drinking water and other relevant beverages. If you are traveling, or drink water at a place of employment, take your water supply in another container only from this jug. When refilling the jug in the evening (or in the early morning) make sure the jug is empty. This means that you drank your daily gout diet requirement without having to count every glass.

 Caution!

Just as a highly acidic body can suffer from acidosis, an over alkaline body can suffer from alkalosis. This causes muscle cramps and spasms among other problems. So do not over do it. As always when dealing with gout, work with your doctor, or other health care professional.

The condition that is a direct result of elevated uric acid levels in the blood is called gout. An estimated 2million Americans are diagnosed with gout; also referred to as ‘gouty arthritis.’ The condition affects the joints, tendons and other tissues and is known to be extremely painful. The medical condition is easily detectable and, fortunately, there are a variety of effective home remedies for gout that the patient can implement.

Generally, gout is more prominent in the big toe. The pain is excruciating and it usually attacks during the night. An individual with gout may experience swelling, tenderness and sharp pain. Upon diagnosis, physicians will examine the uric acid levels in the blood. Coincidentally, gout is developed due to the excess acid in the bloodstream.

The buildup of acid causes hard crystals in the joints deriving primarily from an excessive intake of a chemical called purine. Purine intake can be controlled by the patient at home. Incorporating effective home remedies for gout into the daily routine will ease the pain while simultaneously preventing future attacks.

Gout is often associated with other serious medical conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. If gone untreated, the excessive excretion of uric acid in the urine can result in kidney stones, kidney disease and even kidney failure. The home remedies are often comprehensive; thereby effectively treating and managing all of the conditions. Although there is a list of traditional treatments for gout, the home remedies have proven just as effective.

An individual suffering from gout would benefit from a low- purine diet; however, they are low in the Vitamins B and E and other antioxidants. Therefore, it is important to supplement the meals with products that will prevent and/or alleviate the damage of gout. For instance, the B complex is the supplement that assists the body with the breakdown of uric acid into harmless compounds.

Another home remedy for gout is the bromelain. Taken twice daily, this supplement acts as an anti- inflammatory which controls the sharpness of the pain during gout attacks. Many people aren’t aware that fish oil capsules, taken twice daily, reduce the risk of gouty inflammation. The supplements L-glutamine, L-glycines and the L- methionine all contribute to the breakdown and/or deterrent against the buildup of uric acid.

Vitamins C and E supplementation is required as low- purine diets may cause nutritional deficiency without them. As Vitamin C lowers uric acid levels, the natural Vitamin E simply refuels the deficiency in the body with whatever it is lacking.

Gout is becoming a major medical condition amongst a certain group of people. Almost 2million Americans suffer with it. It is most common amongst people who are overweight and who are excessive beer drinkers.

Home remedies for gout provide essential elements needed to prevent and control the condition which reduces the risks for future attacks. The result of developing gout is extremely painful and without treatment, it could eventually damage all joints, tendons and other vital tissues of the body.

Although there has been no actual gout cure discovered, there are preventative steps that you can take in order to control the progression of the disease. Read on to find out how you can do it.

Gout is a medical disease that attacks the joints, tendons, and other tissues of the body. Gout is a type of the rheumatic disease and it is extremely painful during attacks. The condition is more common amongst men, yet there are identified cases of women who have developed it also. Although there has been no actual gout cure discovered, there are preventative steps that you can take in order to control the progression of the disease.

The acute attacks of gout last from a few hours into a few days. Over time, if left untreated, gout can become more frequent and damaging. Lessening the severity and preventing further gout attacks are the ultimate goals of gout therapy. In order to establish that you may need to seek medical attention is to know what signs or symptoms to look for.

Symptoms of gout include sudden sever pain and tenderness in the affected joint. You may experience redness, warmth and swelling also- most commonly discovered in the big toe. Other joints may be affected as well such as the fingers, elbows and knees. Additionally, the symptoms generally occur at night.

There is no permanent gout cure, but it would be productive to identify the actual cause of the condition. Gout is the result of high levels of uric acid in the blood. The high levels of urates cause hard crystals to formulate in the joints. Purine (urates) is the major chemical that leads to uric acid buildup in the joints, tendons and other tissues. People who consume foods rich in purine tend to develop gout.

Furthermore, people who are overweight and/or consume excessive amounts of alcohol are also at extreme risk of developing gout. In order to prevent gout attacks, physicians may prescribe specific medications that lower uric acid levels, but it is also important that you implement major lifestyle changes.

The gout cure is simply up to you and your lifestyle. It is imperative that you take medications as instructed while also taking care of your body. As noted, the initial step to reducing gout attacks is to manage the intake of uric acid- rich foods. You must follow a strict low- purine diet.

The second step is to eliminate alcohol consumption. Beer, especially, increases uric acid production and reduces its excretion. Instead, drink plenty of water and black cherry juice. Thirdly, maintain an appropriate weight to height ratio. Lastly, implement exercise into your daily routine. Early diagnosis and consistent treatment can significantly reduce the progression and severity of the disease.

Gout Home Treatment - Why Gout Home Remedies include More than Eating Cherries

Are cherries the only gout home treatment? No! In fact, there are numerous ways to reduce uric acid levels and relieve gout symptoms altogether.

Did you know that a doctor named Ludwig W. Blau was once in a wheelchair because of the severity of his gout symptoms? Only after eat a large bowl of polished cherries was Blau able to handle the pain. After starting a treatment of 6 cherries a day, Dr. Blau was able to be free of pain and get out of his wheelchair. Later to be called the doctor who cured gout!

It is no secret that cherries have helped thousands of sufferers relieve the symptoms of gout. But cherries will never cure gout. Cherries work to relieve the symptoms because of a compound that neutralizes the uric acid in the body that causes the pain. But do you really need to eat cherries everyday to avoid the horrific pain associated with gout. No! Here are other tips from a simple, practical and effective gout home treatment.

Why Gout can be Cured at Home

Like stated earlier, gout is caused when an excess of uric acid is deposited between the joints only to form crystals. The crystals between the joints cause a severe pain, swelling and inflammation. Typically, this disease is associated with the big toe. However, it can also develop in other joints.

Millions of people fall into the trap of taking pain killers to treat their gout. Because pain killers do nothing for the arthritis and only treat the pain, many people do more damage to the joint. A disease that could cost you about $10 a month to treat (vitamins and healthy food) could now cost you thousands of dollars with surgical treatment.

Many doctors recommend you be pro-active with your gout symptoms. Though gout is not curable, you can completely be free from the painful acute attacks associated with it. In fact, you should be able to exercise with no pain at all. Here are some helpful tips to remedy the pain!

Gout Home Remedies that Work!

1. Water is one of the best ways to prevent gout attacks. If your urine is not clear, you are in need of more water in your nutritional plan. Start drinking at least 8-10 glasses of water a day. The water will keep the urine diluted and will flush the body to excrete uric acid and prevent crystals from forming.

2. Research also shows how sufferers are usually potassium deficient. You can start eating foods that are rich in this mineral or supplement it.

3. Fiber is also a great choice. You should eat plenty of water soluble fiber foods that aid in flushing the uric acid. You can do this by eating at least 5-6 fruits or vegetables a day.

4. Keep it elevated! Doctors also recommend keeping your foot elevated to alleviate pain.

5. Finally, be pro-active about your health and your lifestyle. These 5 remedies are just the beginning to complete treatment for gout. You should know how your diet, vitamins, supplements, exercise and other remedies can help or hinder your uric acid levels and gout attacks. Numerous step by step remedies are also available in our gout remedy report that is guaranteed to work!

Don’t Give Up!

Gout has left millions of people in wheelchairs! However, gout has also awoken some people from a debilitating lifestyle to a new healthy lifestyle. What path will you choose?

Looking for information on treatment for gout ? This article provides some valuable information about the various methods of treating gout.

Gout is one of the most common types of arthritis, caused by disorder in the uric acid metabolism of the body. It is characterized by high blood uric acid level and deposition of Monosodium urate (MSU) crystals in the joints and surrounding tissues. Gout mostly affects the big toe, but may also affect other parts of the body. Uric acid, formed after breaking down of purine, normally dissolves in blood, passes through the kidney and finally, is excreted in the urine.

Gout is caused due to either overproduction of uric acid that kidneys can’t filter or the kidneys are not efficient enough to filter uric acid. Thus, resulting in hyperuricemia. In course of time, urate crystals are built up in the synovial fluid of the joints and subsequently, deposited in the tissues of the joints. Patients suffering from gout experience unexpected, burning joint pain, as well as swelling, redness and stiffness in the affected area.

Diagnosis of gout is difficult since the symptoms are vague. Usually, gout is diagnosed by physical examination, medical history and by running certain diagnosis tests. Studies have confirmed that occurrence of gout is more common in males than females.

Gout Treatments

Gout may be caused due to various reasons such as genetic factors (family history of gout), use of certain drugs (e.g. diuretics, cyclosporine, aspirin etc.), organ transplant, obesity, lead exposure, thyroid problems and eating habits (overconsumption of protein-rich foods and alcoholic beverages). Whatever the reason, gout should be treated as early as possible. Treatment of gout is done by taking medication, eating low purine diets and regular exercise. Let’s see some of the important treatment methods for gout.

Medication Treatments for Gout

Treatment of gout includes taking medication along with other treatment methods. Though chemical medication is used in the treatment of gout, certain objections arise due to unavoidable side effects in the long run. Let’s see some of the commonly prescribed drugs, which are used for the treatment of gout.

Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs): These are one of the most commonly prescribed drugs for gout treatment. There are many effective drugs such as indomethacin (Indocin), which was the first NSAID used for gout treatment and is also one of the preferable choices of physicians for lessening inflammation. Initially, patients are treated with high doses and subsequently, lower doses are prescribed as the pain subsides. Usually, the treatment lasts for about 48 hours. NSAIDs should not be recommended for patients with peptic ulcer and liver problems. Prolonged use of NSAIDs has certain side effects, however, short-term use is not harmful.

Colchicine: Colchicine is one of the oldest treatments of gout. It is used for treatment of acute attacks of gout and also, to prevent recurrent attacks. It should be taken within 12 hours after gout attack. There are two ways of colchicine treatment - short term and long term. In the short-term treatment, the patient takes a higher dose of colchicine for a shorter duration, whereas in the long-term treatment, the patient is prescribed a lower dose over a longer duration. Side effects of this drug include gastrointestinal problems such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and other stomach problems.

Corticosteroids: Corticosteroids or adrenocorticotropic hormone is recommended for those gout patients, who can’t take NSAIDs or colchicine. Patients with stomach ulcer problems can’t take anti-inflammatory drugs and for them, physicians may recommend corticosteroid medication. Usually, these steroids are administered intravenously, intra-articularly, intramuscularly and also orally.

Home Remedies for Gout

Another treatment method is consumption of low purine diets. One can include fruits, dark cherries (it has chemicals that reduce inflammation), honey, garlic and lots of green leafy vegetables. Seafoods should be avoided, as they are rich source of purine. A gout patient should also avoid alcoholic beverages that are prepared by yeast fermentation. Patients of gout should drink plenty of water in order to help the body in flushing out excess uric acid. There are certain diets for gout patients, which will help in treatment of gout.

Treatment of gout may differ from patient to patient depending upon the disease severity and medical history of the patient. Permanent cure of gout is not available till today. However, the main objective behind gout treatment is to lessen the pain in an acute attack, lessen the duration of an attack, prevent from future attacks and avoid other complications such as kidney stones and joint destruction. If the condition of gout remains untreated, there is increased risk of developing of high blood pressure, formation of tophi (causes tissue damage), deformed joints, and even death from kidney failure. It is always recommended to consult your physician or a qualified gout specialist before following any gout treatment.

Millions of people search for gout remedies each day hoping to find a way to get rid of the most painful type of arthritis. About one-quarter of those people will succeed by following these 5 simple gout tips.

Millions of people search for gout remedies each day hoping to find a way to get rid of the most painful type of arthritis. And most people who succeed in treating gout naturally are able to do so with simple home remedies that involve lifestyle changes.

Anybody who has ever been diagnosed with gout knows that it can be extremely painful. Most people resort to some kind of painkiller which treats the pain but does NOT treat the uric crystals that cause gout. And people who use painkillers tend to damage the joint completely and allow gout to ruin their kidneys and lives.

But before you run to the doctor and get some painkillers, you might want to try some simple gout remedies that flush uric acid (the cause of gout) and drastically reduce gout attacks.

Why You Lifestyle is Important

Think about a time in your life when you were the healthiest. I can venture to guess that you didn’t have gout during that period. And as you get older you might think that gout is a natural process of getting older. You are wrong! But the good news is that you can naturally treat gout with some simple do’s and don’ts.

Currently you body is processing too many purines which turn into uric acid. If the blood stream contains too much uric acid, it will form into uric crystals which reside between joints (in most cases the big toe). If gout is not treated by flushing the uric acid, kidney damage will result.

Fortunately, gout is a warning sign to tell you that you need to watch what you eat. Your diet could be one thing that could help or hurt your gout symptoms.

5 Simple Gout Remedies

1. Flush your body! Most people do not know that they are dehydrated. It is said that 80% of Americans are dehydrated. And research shows that most gout sufferers are in that category. You should be drinking at least 12 tall glasses of water a day if you suffer from this disease. Water flushes the body of uric acid, cholesterol, toxins, plaque, chemicals and many impurities.

2. Fiber! You should also eat fiber which causes your body to flush and detoxify itself. Eat at least 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Fruits and veggies are high in water soluble fiber which will also flush your attacks away.

3. Purines! As stated earlier, purines are a cause of gout. You should moderate your intake of purines immediately. If the body does not have purines to convert to uric acid, you will have fewer and fewer attacks. Here is a list of the high purine foods: red meat products, gravies, shellfish, fish, and dried beans. For a complete food guide, please check out our Gout Remedy Report.

4. Vitamins! Studies have all indicated that sufferers usually have a vitamin deficiency. Vitamins A, B5 and E are critical to your diet. These 3 vitamins have been shown to block the formation and advancement of gout symptoms.

5. Move! Though it might hurt at first you should try to exercise between attacks. Exercise has hundreds of benefits but it also flushes impurities out of your body and keeps your body running efficient. Start with a short 10 minute walk and increase each week.

What would you do for $1500? Would you try a 100% guaranteed natural gout cure? Discover how to cure gout naturally, save your time and save thousands of dollars!

I am writing this feeling appalled! One of my ex-gout customers wrote a recent e-mail to me stating the cost of gout medication. I was completely unaware of the extreme expense of gout medication. I guess, I just assumed that mediation couldn’t be more than a few hundred dollars. However, I was wrong!

"My husband (who suffered from gout) has seen several doctors in the past year. And recently a doctor said that he could give him an injection that would cost $1,500. We refused and bought your Cure Gout Naturally Remedy Report. My husband has been gout free for 2 months and you saved us two weeks salary. Thanks!" ~ Barb, CA

Do you suffer from the arthritic pain of gout? Have you been taking medication with little to no relief? Are you tired of popping pills to hide the pain?

Cure Gout Naturally

You have a front row seat to one of the most miraculous spectacles on planet earth! The human body! For the past three thousand years, it has amazed, mystified, and astonished the most intelligent scientists. And decade after decade, it continues to amaze us with its unbelievable functions. And the greatest of all functions, its ability to repair and heal itself! In your case, the body can cure gout naturally if given the correct tools to do so. And it won’t cost $1,000&#43! In fact, the cost could be as low as $20 for the store-boughten ingredients that neutralize the uric acid causing the pain.

Gout is the cause of uric acid in the body which is a by-product of a very necessary part of your body’s normal function. In the case of gout, the body is unable to break down the high levels of the uric acid. The uric acid eventually develops into crystals which take up residency in your joints. The most typical joint affected is the toe. However, other gout joints affected include: the feet, the ankles, the wrists, fingers and elbows. If you or a loved one suffers from gout, you can neutralize the uric acid and eliminate the pain in hours.

Gout Home-Remedy Neutralizes Uric Acid

1.Water could be one of the best remedies for every ailment. You should start making a habit of drinking 10-12 glasses of water per day. By drinking more water, you will urinate more thus flushing some of the uric acid build up. Water is great prevention.

2.Vitamin C! Vitamin C has been documented to lower uric acid levels in the body as well as help the body’s immunity. Do not exceed 2,000 mg of Vitamin C per day.

3.Apple cider vinegar can help treat gout by being consumed or applied to swollen area. As a drink, you can actually add the vinegar to a cup of tea to change the pH of your blood which lowers the uric acid levels.

4.Begin eating healthier with fruits, veggies, fresh foods, whole grains and low fat foods.

5.Take a hike! Literally, go for a walk or a hike to get some exercise. After the area loosens up, your body will thank you and you will naturally lower the uric acid levels in your blood.

A Step-by-Step Gout Cure

Immediate Relief in Hours! How does that sound? You can actually be relieved of gout pain in hours if you take specific neutralizing-foods (at every grocery store) whenever your gout attacks occur. Imagine not having to suffer the whole night with the pain! Imagine waking up feeling refreshed! Imagine not being laid up in bed because of the pain!

Pages from history in specific, from the ages of Hippocrates, revel that this disease was commonly known as "The Disease Of Kings" or "The King Of Diseases", mostly due to its occurrence in royal, noble and rich families. The cause of their significant proportion in victims was their easy access to costly, exclusive exceptional foods.

In modern times also Gout has been found in significantly high percentage in people from developed societies. The reasons behind this are deskbound lifestyles, using all modern luxuries and without much physical labor and the consumption of large amounts of rich foods and beverages that are not well endured by the human body. So, it is highly important to find out the basic pathology and its causes behind Gout to prevent the agony.

What Is Gout?
Gout is a common type of Rheumatoid Arthritis that occurs when an unwarranted quantity of uric acid in the urine, blood and tissues crystallizes and saturates at the joints. It is the secondary skin inflammation. It emerges as a severe attack frequently coming on overnight. Within a short span of time, there is acute pain and inflammation in the affected joint. It characterizes the skin over the joint tender and burnished. Although known as "gouty big toe" or "gouty arthritis". as it often noticeable itself in the big toe, it can also emerge in an ear, hand joints, heels of the hand, elbows, knees, ankles, or wrists with swelling, inflammation, tenderness and acute pain If not attended, it may develop into chronic joint disease with progressive damage of joints (Chronic Gout).

Mechanism behind Emergence of Gout
In normal cases, the metabolism process in human body produces Uric acid as its end product as Uricase, digestive enzyme secretion from kidney, beaks down the Purines from the food. However, in pathological stage, due to the decline in the levels of Uricase elevation in the quantity of uric acid is found. As kidney failed to discard this uric acid through urine, it experiences the saturation of this in the blood (Hyperuricaemia). This raised levels of uric acid in blood lead to deposits of microscopic, sharp needle like crystals of Monosodium Urate at joints.

Uric acid when gets deposited and crystallized under the skin, it is known as Tophi, or as Kidney Stones in the urinary tract. Bursae, the tiny fluid filled sacs around the joints get filled by these crystals causing inflammation. This condition is called as Bursitis. In Tophaceous Gout, these nodular crystals deposit in different areas of soft tissues in the body.

Relevance of Diet
Studies have shown that the most important reason for the emergence of gout is purine, an organic substance. Foods with high levels of purine, including organ meats, beans and red meats, contribute to the body’s level of uric acid. That’s why; traditional thinking tells us that gout is the outcome of disproportionate amounts of protein, alcohol, coffee and soft drinks in diet. Deficiency in potassium also leads to elevation in the levels of Uric Acid.

The relation between the Gout and Food is more complicated. The Gout is associated with break down of purines. Purines are a certain type of proteins found in diet.

Foods very high in purines:
Hearts, herring, mussels, smelt, sardines, yeast, sweetbreads are the kind of foods which are having high proportion of purines.
Foods those are moderately high in Purines:
Mutton, anchovies, liver, salmon, grouse, veal, turkey, bacon, kidneys, goose, trout, pheasant, scallops, partridge, haddock carry moderately high percentage of purines and can cause and aggravate the cases of Gout.
Vegetables those are very high in purines:
Asparagus, cauliflower and mushrooms are the vegetable sources which can cause Gout as they are very rich in purines.
Consumption of Alcohol:
It increases the production of uric acid and hampers the renal excretion by the kidneys, thus resulting in increased levels of uric acid.
Consumption of Coffee:
Caffeine present in coffee accelerates the break down of proteins and hence can aggravate Gout.
Acidic Fluids
Some foods are alkaline to the filtration system of kidney and some are acidifying to it. The elimination or excretion of Uric acid enhances if the urine reaches to an alkaline state and is reduced if urine becomes acidic. The PH of neutral Urine is 7.0 and if it comes down to 6.0 then excretion of uric acid decreases by a considerable amount around 50%.

Tailor made Cigarettes, Artificial sweeteners, , Carbonated soft drinks & fizzy drinks , Drugs, White Sweet Flour, Goat, Lamb, Pastries & cakes made up of white flour, White Sugar, Custard with white sugar, , Brown sugar, Chocolate, Coffee , Jams, Jellies, Beer, Liquor , White Pasta, Chicken, Pork, Beef, Deer, Rabbit, Semolina, refined & iodized Table salt, Black Tea, Turkey, Wheat bread, White rice, Processed White vinegar are the acidic foods which can trigger Gout.

To prevent from the agony of this disease which has affected nearly 2 million people, you have to know these foods that cause Gout and restrict their consumption to lead healthy life!
